1. Introduction
AI Quick Translate (the "App", the "Service", "we", "us", "our") is operated by AI Quick Translate (malik.co). We provide an AI-powered translation tool for Android that supports text translation, live microphone conversation, document translation (PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, EPUB, plain text), audio file translation (MP3, AAC, WAV), image-to-text translation, and AI document summarization.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
a. Content you submit for translation or summarization
To deliver the core service, the App sends the following to our backend translation/AI service:
- Text you type or paste for translation.
- Microphone audio captured during live conversation translation, transcribed to text and translated.
- Documents you upload (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, ODT, EPUB, TXT) for translation or summarization.
- Audio files (MP3, AAC, WAV) you upload for translation.
- Images captured by your camera or selected from your gallery for OCR + translation.
b. Account information (optional)
If you sign in with Google to sync history or manage a subscription, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID via Google Sign-In. You can use the App without signing in, with limited features.
c. Device and usage data
We automatically collect:
- Device model, OS version, app version, language, region, and a non-resettable installation identifier.
- Crash reports and diagnostic information (via Firebase Crashlytics).
- Aggregate usage events such as which features are opened, error rates, and session length (via Firebase Analytics).
- Advertising identifier (AAID) — see section 5.
d. Permissions we request
- Microphone — for live conversation and voice translation. Audio is streamed for transcription only.
- Camera — to capture images for OCR/translation.
- Photos / Storage — to read images, audio, and documents you select, and to save translated files.
- Internet & network state — required for translation and ad delivery.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Perform the translation, transcription, OCR, or summarization you requested.
- Save translation history on your device (and optionally to your account) so you can revisit it.
- Display advertising and provide the optional ad-free subscription.
- Track in-app points/credits balances, subscription state, and usage limits.
- Diagnose crashes and improve app stability and quality.
- Communicate with you when you contact our support address.
4. Third-party services
The App relies on the following processors. Each handles your data per their own privacy policies:
- Translation / AI provider — processes the content you submit to return translations and summaries.
- Google Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — usage analytics and crash reporting.
- Google AdMob — advertising (free tier only).
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement validation.
- Google Play Billing — payment processing for subscriptions.
- Google Sign-In — optional authentication.
- Microsoft Clarity (where enabled) — anonymized session analytics for UX improvement.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Advertising & AdMob
The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. Google may use the Android Advertising ID and limited device data to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, subject to your device-level ad personalization settings. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
You can also remove ads entirely by purchasing the ad-free subscription — see section 6.
6. Subscriptions & payments
The App offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions, processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. We do not see, store, or process your payment card details. Subscription state is verified via RevenueCat using your anonymized installation identifier.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from the Google Play Store, or from the in-app menu's "Cancel Subscription" option (which deep-links into Play).
7. Data retention
- Files you upload (documents, audio, images) are automatically deleted from our backend within 24 hours of processing. No backups are retained beyond that period.
- Text translations are processed in memory and not retained server-side after the response is returned.
- Translation history stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Analytics & crash data are retained per Firebase's default policies.
8. No model training, no sale of data
We do not use the content you submit (text, audio, documents, or images) to train AI models. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
9. Security
We use HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit and apply industry-standard safeguards to protect data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis of processing.
- Opt out of personalized advertising (via Android settings).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
